Anthrax axeman Scott Ian is one of metal's most outspoken musicians and even embarked on a spoken word tour in 2014. Now, he'll be hosting his own talk show entitled Never Meet Your Heroes, which will air on SiriusXM's new Volume station and his first guest will be Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor.

Volume will launch as the first-ever music-centric talk radio channel dedicated to discussing all things industry related. Ian's show will place a magnifying glass over his personal musical heroes, going in depth with them about their inspiration and influences.

Volume will debut at 7AM on Oct. 17 on SiriusXM channel 106. The channel will feature other rock figures, notably renowned DJ Eddie Trunk, who will be sharing stories from his three-plus decades in the business as well as bringing in artists for interviews and more on Trunk Nation. Former MTV icon Kurt Loder will also head up True Stories With Kurt Loder, with ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons slated as the first guest.

Anthrax have been touring relentlessly behind their newest release, For All Kings, having already completed tours with Lamb of God in North America and supporting Iron Maiden in South America. They're currently back out on the road on the thrash-tastic bill rounded out by headliners Slayer and openers Death Angel. A full list of remaining stops can be seen at our 2016 Guide to Rock + Metal Tours.
