Anvil are preparing to hit the road again across the U.S this fall while also releasing their compilation disc ‘Monument of Metal: The Very Best of Anvil,’ which is due out on Sept. 27 via The End Records.

Anvil, whose history was chronicled in the acclaimed documentary 'Anvil! The Story of Anvil,' will head to states all over North America starting in mid October and wrapping up at the end of November. The band recently wrapped up a string of summer tour dates.

The greatest-hits album is an anthology of their persistent hard work and talent. Decades of music appears on the disc, from their 1982 hit ‘Metal on Metal’ to their 2011 single ‘Juggernaut of Justice.’

A live version of ‘Jackhammer’ from their first live album ‘From Past and Present: Live in Concert’ appears on the disc along with re-recordings of other tracks.
