Cavalera Conspiracy Unleash Savage Track ‘Insane’ Off Upcoming ‘Psychosis’ Album
For decades, fans have been calling for Max Cavalera to return to Sepultura and in more recent years, his brother Iggor to make his way back to the band in tandem. Both camps have been dismissive of this idea and for those who worship Sepultura's classic albums like Beneath the Remains and Arise, you're in for a treat with this new Cavalera Conspiracy track "Insane."
There's a feral energy to this Psychosis song thanks to the red-hot producer Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Sumerlands, Inquisition) who deviates from the ultra-slick productions dominating the era of modern metal. The drums sound organic and the guitars are discernible with a fair amount of dirt thrown on the tones to invoke a bit of that classic feel of metal's extreme heyday. Max delivers with the same intensity found on Arise while Igorr maintains a rigid uptempo as whammy dives descend into the abyss, careening back up along with subconsciously raised, clenched fists.
Max was brief when commenting about the track, exclaiming, "Let's open the mosh pit and go insane!!!!!!"
Cavalera Conspiracy are maintaining their release schedule of issuing a new record every three years and are following up 2014's Pandemonium with Psychosis, which will arrive on Nov. 17 through Napalm Records. The album will add nine new tracks to the band's canon and the artwork and track listing can be found below. To pre-order your copy of Psychosis, head to the label's webstore.
