Janus frontman David Scotney and drummer Johnny Salazar answer burning questions from their fans about the upcoming new album 'Nox Aeris' and more in a video Q&A premiering here on Loudwire.

Chicago alt-metal quartet Janus are set to release the follow-up to their well-received debut album 'Red Right Return' later this month. The concept-based 'Nox Aeris' will be released on March 27 and 'Stains,' the first single, is currently climbing the Active Rock charts. The band is on the road with Chevelle and Middle Class Rut, but still found time to answer some fan questions about the new album.

Here's the answer to one question: 'What is Janus' ultimate goal for the band?'

As a band we only want to write good music and when we came off of the last tour...we only really wanted to make another record if we felt like we had something compelling to say. Sure enough about four months in to [writing the new album] we really started to get really, really excited about the music. The music itself is what keeps us going.
