Judas Priest to Offer Special Worldwide Screenings of New Concert DVD ‘Epitaph’
During a handful of special nights, Judas Priest's upcoming live DVD 'Epitaph' is scheduled to be shown in cinemas around the world.
The concert film isn't set to hit stores until May 28, but Judas Priest are giving fans the opportunity to watch 'Epitaph' in full while being surrounded by a pack of fellow Priest followers.
Judas Priest deliver a phenomenal performance throughout the 'Epitaph' DVD, which documents the final night of the iconic band's massive 'Epitaph' world tour.
The trek, which likely was Priest's last large-scale world tour, stretched from June 2011 to May 2012, concluding at the famed Hammersmith Apollo in London.
The concert film contains live performances of 23 classic Priest tracks, with at least one song from each of the band's 14 albums showcased to create an all-encompassing live experience.
The band offered a statement about the 'Epitaph' DVD in a recent press release:
The Epitaph world tour came to an exciting conclusion at the renowned Hammersmith Odeon (now known as the Apollo) in London. Knowing our fans around the planet recognize that venue for many legendary metal moments, and of course with Judas Priest being a British metal band it was the perfect gig for us to film and record. Big thanks as always to you our metal family of fans - so start banging your heads one more time with us as we scream together ‘The Priest is back!'
As for the special screenings of 'Epitaph,' Clearview Chelsea in New York City will show the film on May 14, while London's legendary Forum will host a screening on May 15.
