Marty Friedman Announces Second Leg of ‘Inferno’ North American Tour

Guitar virtuoso Marty Friedman made his return to North America for the first time in more than a decade earlier this year, hitting over 20 cities on the trek in support of 2014's Inferno. Fans won't have to wait so long for his return as he has just announced a set of North American dates slated to start Feb. 8 in Phoenix, Ariz., and ending the land portion in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Feb. 19. He will then set sail on the Axes and Anchors Cruise from Feb. 20-24.

The famed axeman will be appearing at a guitar clinic in Mexico City on Feb. 5 before beginning the tour with Holy Grail providing support each night. Following the last Florida date, Friedman will join Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Alex Skolnick and more guitarists as well as bands on the maiden voyage of the Axes and Anchors Cruise where he will perform two sets and one guitar clinic.

Tickets for the tour will be on sale this Friday (Nov. 6) at 10AM local time and VIP packages are on sale now, though in limited quantities. The package includes the chance to watch Friedman perform during the soundcheck followed by a one-on-one meet-and-greet with a photo opportunity. Inferno is one of Friedman's heaviest and most metallic releases in recent years and saw some of metal's finest like Children of Bodom's Alexi Laiho and Revocation's David Davidson guest on the album. The album was also the first solo release from the six-stringer to crack the Billboard 200, debuting at No. 186.
