Napalm Death frontman Mark 'Barney' Greenway recently addressed rumors, which apparently had been building up, of whether or not he is a homosexual. The always open and opinionated Greenway confirmed that he is in fact, not gay, although he holds no discrimination against those who are.

When asked by 'Scary Terry' on his 'Saturday Nightmare' radio show (audio here) what one question Greenway wished he had been asked during his career, but hadn't, the grindcore frontman replied, "Are you gay?" When Terry took the opportunity to be the first to ask Greenway about the issue, he replied, "No, I'm not, but there's lots of rumors about me out there. I mean, not that it matters. I find it quite amusing; I'm deeply touched by that, actually."

Greenway continued, "Yeah, I think people sort of put two and two together and make five. Because I've always been very open about talking about things like sexuality and stuff, people come up with a miscalculation and just assume that you're gay. I'm not, but it is quite amusing. But nobody will ever ask me that outright. And I'm always willing to talk about stuff like that. People shouldn't be afraid of discussing stuff like that openly."

In our own recent interview with Greenway, we missed the opportunity to talk to Greenway about his sexual orientation, but we did discuss topics with him such as Napalm Death's latest album, 'Utilitarian,' which is currently No. 1 on our Top 10 Metal Albums of 2012 (So Far) list, politics, internet censorship and more.

Napalm Death plan to hit North America soon in support of 'Utilitarian,' but the band will be hitting our shores for one date at the 2012 Maryland Deathfest.
