Sharon Osbourne offered a tearful update Monday about her rocker husband, Ozzy Osbourne, after the musician was forced to cancel all of his 2019 tour dates when he sustained an injury following his recent hospitalization.

While initially clear that the injury involved Ozzy falling at home, requiring surgery when he re-aggravated wounds sustained from a near-fatal 2003 ATV accident, his spouse has filled in more blanks about it.

Unfortunately, metal rods placed in the performer's body after that tumble 16 years ago were "dislodged" when we was most recently injured, Sharon said through tears as she took stock of her husband's trauma on TV.

Speaking to her follow moderators on The Talk, Sharon offered a detailed account of Ozzy's recent incident, the Osbourne matriarch filling fans in on exactly what happened to the singer after his illness. Watch below.

"He, at the begging of the year, had a bad flu that went to bronchitis, that went to pneumonia," she explained. "And then, when he had the flu, he came out of hospital and he had a bad accident at home. He fell."

Sharon continued, "He fell in the middle of the night. Years ago, previously, he'd had a motorbike accident where he was in a coma for days. What he'd done more is he re-injured his back and neck and shoulders, and all of the metal rods and everything that were put in his body were dislodged. So we had to cancel his year of dates.

"But he's good, he's fine, he's great," Sharon emotionally added.

Last week, Ozzy postponed all of his No More Tours 2 tour dates for 2019 after suffering the injury. In a statement, he conveyed his disappointment in canceling the gigs and his eagerness in getting back to the stage.

"I can't believe I have to reschedule more tour dates,” the musician said. “Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now. I'm grateful for the love and support I'm getting from my family, my band, friends and fans, it's really what's keeping me going. Just know that I am getting better every day...I will fully recover...I will finish my tour...I will be back!"

Ozzy's 2019 North American tour has been pushed back until 2020, but 2019 tickets will still be honored at the rescheduled events. See the updated 2020 itinerary below, with rescheduled European dates on the way.
