One of this year's biggest surprises came when it was revealed that Ozzy Osbourne would be featured as a guest contributor on hip-hop/pop artist Post Malone's new record. He lent his haunting pipes to "Take What You Want" and recently joined the young star onstage in Los Angeles to play the hit song in advance of their scheduled joint performance at the American Music Awards on Sunday (Nov. 24).

The performance (video below) marks the first time Ozzy stepped foot onstage since his New Year's Eve performance after staph infections and a rough fall at home sidelined the singer and caused multiple tour postponements this year. It's a sign of good fortune that the singer, who will turn 70 in early December, will be able to come up as a guest at the awards show.

"I wish I had some jokes to tell. I don't have many jokes," said Post Malone, addressing the crowd who quickly started chanting, "Ozzy! Ozzy! Ozzy!" before the Prince of Darkness walked out. The chants turned into an arena-consuming roar as the opening notes of the Hollywood's Bleeding track played out.

Bobbing to the rhythm, Ozzy appeared to be in good health and good spirits, getting the crowd moving by clapping his hands over his head as he's done for 50 years onstage. He'll be back next year on a European tour with Judas Priest and a North American tour with Marilyn Manson as he continues his "No More Tours 2" run. Ordinary Man, Ozzy's first new solo album since 2010, is expected to arrive in January, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
