Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth Members Highlight NYC Metal Masters Clinic

Back in April, Charlie Benante and Frank Bello of Anthrax, David Ellefson of Megadeth and former Dream Theater skin basher Mike Portnoy teamed up to deliver the first ever 'Metal Masters Clinic' in California. Held shortly before  the 'Big 4' show took over the West Coast, the clinic offered metal fans a once in a lifetime opportunity to brush up on their metal mastery with those who wrote the book.

Now the East Coast is getting its turn. The second 'Metal Masters Clinic,' featuring the same cast of characters with one additional V.I.P. in the awesome form of Slayer's Kerry King, is hitting New York City. The clinic takes place two days before the 'Big 4' show featuring Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeth at New York's Yankee Stadium on Sept. 14.

The education in metal goes down Sept. 12 at 5PM ET at the Best Buy Theater located in New York's Times Square. The clinic featuring the prolific professors of shred is a free event so bring your studded notepads and line up early. Wristbands will be available on the day of the clinic only and will be given out on a first-come-first-serve basis to the first 500 people, so get in line and be ready to be schooled by the best!
