The 20th anniversary edition of Soundgarden's 'Superunknown' will be released on June 3, and the band has just announced a special show on June 2 at Webster Hall in New York City where they will play the album from front to back for only the second time ever.

Tickets to the concert will cost $19.94 and be available for purchase only with a Citi credit or debit card beginning Wednesday, May 21 at 10AM ET. More information on how to buy tickets can be found here.

In a recent Loudwire interview, frontman Chris Cornell talked about the impact of 'Superunknown.' "I think we had already come into our own and had our own sound, but ‘Superunknown’ cemented it as living in its own world," Cornell says. "It created an autonomy for us that we could make albums that were strictly Soundgarden albums that no one else was going to sound like and no one else could write."

"We kind of lived in our own world," Cornell recalls. "I think that was important for us. I think we started out as a band that way, and I think during the early ’90s we then sort of lost the autonomy being lumped into other Seattle bands. That wasn’t bad, that was a good thing. It was great that it was us and our friends kind of conquering the world. But, it took away some of that autonomy for all of us. And ‘Superunknown’ for us, in one fell swoop, immediately got that back."

Later this summer, Soundgarden will join forces with Nine Inch Nails for a co-headlining North American tour. That trek kicks off July 19 in Las Vegas.
