Steve Harris is currently helping every Iron Maiden fan's dreams come true their "Legacy of the Beast" tour, but the bassist has plans for even more music before the year closes.

Speaking with SiriusXM host Eddie Trunk on Trunk Nation, Harris revealed that he's closing in on a second British Lion album and hopes to release it before year's end.

"The new album is finished, and we're gonna try to get it out by the end of this year," said Harris [as transcribed by Blabbermouth]. "So it should all be ready for when we do [the] 'Monsters Of Rock' [cruise]. At the moment, we're trying to [pencil] in some U.S. shows around that."

Harris revealed that an exact release date has not been announced, but he has a rough idea of when he'd like it to arrive. I'd like to get it out by November, really. But we'll have to see," said the bassist.

The timing would be perfect as Iron Maiden currently have dates booked through mid-October, which would give Harris a little bit of time to change gears before the British Lion album arrives.

Fans have already gotten a little taste of potential new music with "Spitfire" and "Bible Black" appearing in sets. A studio version of "Spitfire" can be heard below.

Meanwhile, Iron Maiden continue to wow concertgoers with their current tour. Dates for the run can be found here. As for British Lion and the 2020 Monsters of Rock Cruise, it's set for Feb. 8-13 and launching from Fort Lauderdale, hitting Cozumel and Belize along the way. More info can be found here.
