Japanese rockers Vamps have teamed up with Loudwire to bring you the exclusive premiere of their new video for "Calling."

The Nick Petersen-directed clip, seen above, centers on a young woman burdened by perception and her suitor who is unhealthily infatuated with her. Meanwhile, the band members also appear in the video, often featured in a luxurious prison cell or a rundown elevator lift.

Vamps guitarist K.A.Z. shares, "We shot the 'Calling' video in an abandoned old building in Downtown LA. Everything about the shoot just felt right and we had a great time making the video so we’re really excited for everybody to finally see the finished clip. We hope you enjoy it and we can’t wait to play it live on tour this spring."

Vocalist Hyde adds, "The video follows the intertwined stories of two people: a guy who’s infatuated with and holding on to this idealistic version of his lover … which is not really who she is though. And the woman ultimately breaking free from his confines."

If you like what you hear, the "Calling" single is currently available for purchase via iTunes. It will also be featured on the band's Underworld album, which is due April 28 via Eleven Seven Music. The disc was written and produced with assistance from Howard Benson and Kane Churko.

Vamps are heading back stateside in May after a pair of shows in Japan in mid-April. The trek starts May 2 in Birmingham, Ala., and continues through their appearance at the Blackest of the Black Festival in Irvine, Calif., on May 27. For a good portion of the run, the group will share stages with I Prevail and Starset. Palaye Royale and Darke Complex will also join in on shows during the run. Ticketing info can be found here.
