Behemoth Frontman’s Me and That Man Unveils Cinematic New Song ‘Run With the Devil’
Nergal’s Me and That Man project has just released a new song, “Run With the Devil.” The stylish track indulges the Behemoth frontman’s cinematic side, thanks to some help from singer Jordan Munkeby.
Flaunting a classic rock ’n’ roll riff and Tarantino-esque cinematography, “Run With the Devil” is a lavish, feel-good throwback. The new song pays tribute to the lead single from Me and That Man’s debut album, “My Church Is Black,” along with the film Death Proof, as you’ll see with Nergal’s choice of automobile.
“This one was a lot of fun!” Nergal raves. “When I first started thinking of the imagery to the track, I wanted to create something more than a music video, I wanted a music movie which carries on from where ‘Nightride’ left off. Don’t take it too seriously, we’re metaphorically burying the past and bringing in a new! A great way to introduce the next incarnation of ‘Me And That Man’…but what next? Stick around, there is plenty of rather splendid things to see soon!’”
Nergal wrote the screenplay to the music video alongside Roman Przylipiak, who directed “Run With the Devil.”
Fans can watch “Run With the Devil” in the clip below and stream/download the single here. As for Behemoth, Nergal has promised the extreme metal legends will 100 percent release a new album in 2021.
