Children of Bodom guitarist Roope Latvala has collaborated with Tikanmaki Attack featuring Finnish composer Anssi Tikanmaki to reinvent several national anthems throughout the world on their new disc 'Anthems.'

Giving each anthem a metal makeover, the disc features Latvala working with twelve additional musicians to recreate anthems from Russia’s ‘Hymn of Russia’ to the U.K.’s ‘God Save The Queen.'

The eight track disc is now available for purchase here, and each song can be heard on YouTube as well. Listen to their rendition of America's anthem ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ below.

Children of Bodom recently commemorated their 15 year anniversary with the CD/DVD set ‘Holiday at Lake Bodom (15 Years of Wasted Youth).’ The collection included two newly recorded cover songs - Dropkick Murphys and Rick Springfield if you can believe it - in addition to revisiting material throughout their career.
