Finnish metal masters Children of Bodom are on the cusp of finishing their eighth studio album. As a band that is constantly pumping out material, it's easy to picture the excitement Bodom experience before releasing a record, but as proof, frontman Alexi Laiho and keyboardist Janne Wirman have offered a video update on how the album is sounding.

A Children of Bodom studio update just wouldn't be right without the consumption of alcohol and the use of excessive profanity, and luckily, Bodom's video update contains both! "Hello my friends, motherf---ers!" begins Laiho. "It's Children of Bodom here at the studio wrapping up the album, working on the last cover. We're having a lot of fun and finally we get to have some ciders and beers and s--t."

"We've already started mixing," adds Wirman. "The s--t sounds really f---ing good … really looking forward to get this s--t released." Laiho wraps, "It sounds heavy as f---, man. That's what I think, anyways. I'm really f---ing psyched about it, so hopefully we'll get it out soon and you'll like it too."

Work on Children of Bodom's yet-untitled eighth album began earlier this year at Finland's Danger Johnny Studios in Helsinki with producer Peter Tägtgren. Engineer Mikko Karmila, who worked on past Bodom releases 'Hatebreeder,' 'Follow the Reaper' and 'Hate Crew Deathroll,' is back with the band for this upcoming album, which should excite more seasoned Children of Bodom fans who prefer the the spirit of the band's older material. Some working titles for new Bodom songs are 'All Twisted,' 'Slowdance On Nails,' 'Moto GP,' 'FC Pettymys,' 'Kananmuisti-ilmiö [Chicken Memory Effect]' and 'Trondheim.'

Stay tuned and get pumped for more news on Children of Bodom's eighth studio album.
