The metal pride of Finland, Children of Bodom, have released a new music video for 'Transference.' The cut serves as Bodom's first single from their upcoming eighth studio album, 'Halo of Blood,' and the fresh track is now accompanied by a creepy new clip covered in a Scandinavian frost.

Children of Bodom have released a ton of music videos in their day, and this new one for 'Transference' feels like classic Bodom from the very start. 'Transference' begins with a heroine character picking up a barber's razor. After some back-and-forth from shots of Bodom performing in the snow and the female lead, the woman slices her wrists with the blade -- and this is when things start to get very weird.

Our heroine suddenly begins to spit out small and shiny black objects before confronting the video's forthcoming characters, which includes the grim reaper himself. As Children of Bodom's unofficial mascot throughout the band's career, the reaper, who first leads a cast of doomed souls to their icy graves, focuses on the female lead. We won't spoil the ending for you, so be sure to watch the entire video to discover the conclusion of 'Transference.'

"'Transference' is a straight-up Children of Bodom to-the-core-type song and therefore was a good pick for a video and obviously is one of our favorite tracks," says frontman Alexi Laiho. "It always had an evil vibe to it, which I wish I knew how to explain because it still gives me chills… Enjoy!"
