Depending on who you speak with, Donald Trump's Presidential campaign is either seen as a complete embarrassment or one of the most punk rock, rebellious attacks on the U.S. political landscape. During his campaign, Trump has been using Twisted Sister's classic protest anthem "We're Not Gonna Take It" as his exit song and Dee Snider himself has weighed in on Trump's adoption of the track.

Dee Snider is actually a friend of Donald Trump's, having appeared on 'Celebrity Apprentice.' While speaking with TMZ, Snider claimed that not only is Twisted Sister not receiving any royalties from Trump's use of "We're Not Gonna Take It," but Snider perfectly fine with giving Trump free reign with the song.

"Donald Trump is a good friend and a great guy, and I support him turning the political system on its head." says Snider. "The song 'We're Not Gonna Take It' is a song about rebellion, and there's nothing more rebellious than what Donald Trump is doing right now … "Should he be president? Oh, I don't know about that. He's a little too much of a narcissist. But he's stirring the pot, that's one thing he's definitely doing, he's shaking it up. I think that's why he's getting ratings he's getting, people are just sick of the status quo."

Dee's permission doesn't even seen to be based on right wing vs. left wing opinions, as he's encouraging Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, who sits on the complete opposite side of the political spectrum from Trump, to use the track. "Bernie Sanders can use it as well; he's turning things upside down, too," Dee declares.

Twisted Sister will embark on their farewell tour in 2016.
