‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbott vs. Zakk Wylde – Greatest Metal Guitarist, Quarterfinals

Pantera's 'Dimebag' Darrell Abbott was paired with Korn's Brian 'Head' Welch in Round 2 after both guitarists scored victories in our competition's first round. During this pairing, however, even Head himself campaigned for a Dimebag victory, which was achieved by a huge margin. A favorite to win the entire competition, the late Dimebag is now paired against one of his very best friends.

Zakk Wylde stomped out AC/DC's Angus Young during the duo's Round 2 battle, allowing Wylde to advance into the Quarterfinals. The Black Label Society / Ozzy Osbourne axeman now takes on his late buddy Dimebag in what is sure to be one of this competition's most intriguing matchups.
