Doro Pesch + Sister Sin Rock New York City
Fans gave a very warm welcome to the “Queen of Metal” herself as she graced the stage with her band. The blonde bombshell belted out killer tunes from her old band, Warlock, such as ‘I Rule the Ruins,’ ‘Burning the Witches,’ ‘Fight for Rock,’ ‘All We Are,' among others.
Fans also sang along to ‘Hero,’ a cover of Judas Priest’s ‘Breaking the Law’ and she ended her set with ‘Love Me in Black.’
To see Doro’s humble presence and her interaction with fans, it’s no wonder why she has remained such an icon in metal for well over 25 years.
Swedish metalers Sister Sin took the stage for one hell of an energetic performance. Frontwoman Liv Jagrell is a woman with a bionic neck as she headbanged throughout the band’s set and got fans jumping and fist pumping.
Sister Sin had a great setlist with a nice balance from their three albums. Among the songs they performed from their latest album ’Sounds of the Underground,’ were the singles ‘End of the Line’ and ‘Hearts of Cold,’ as well as the powerful anthems ‘Chosen Few' and ‘Fight Song.’
They also performed their cover of the U.D.O. track ‘24/7,’ plus 'One Out of Ten,’ On Parole’ and the set-closer ‘Better Than Them.’
East Coast band Flames of Fury kicked off the night with a forceful set. To see catch all of these bands on tour, go here for a list of remaining dates.
