2013 is not even two months old yet, but Down got the year off to a great start while joining labelmates Warbeast for a pummeling January excursion. Now the veteran metal collective will pack up their gear once again this spring for a week-long trek through the Southeastern United States, concluding with a hometown show in New Orleans.

The band just revealed seven new stops, kicking off May 23 in Birmingham and continuing through Raleigh, Baltimore, Augusta, Nashville and Broussard, La., before the New Orleans House of Blues finale on May 31. Tickets for the dates go on sale this Saturday (Feb. 16) and include VIP packages with opportunities to meet the band and attend their soundcheck. For more information on the special package, visit DOWN-NOLA.com.

In other Down news, the band's widely hailed 'Down IV Part 1 - The Purple EP' will be released on vinyl on Feb. 26. The six-song set received critical praise upon its release last year, including being one of the few records to receive a five-star review on Loudwire.
