Foo Fighters have been rolling out new songs in the live setting of late, which teased the fact that new music was en route. We can now tell you that the band has a new album titled Concrete and Gold that's set to arrive on Sept. 15 via Roswell Records / RCA.

“I wanted it to be the biggest sounding Foo Fighters record ever. To make a gigantic rock record but with Greg Kurstin’s sense of melody and arrangement… Motorhead’s version of Sgt. Pepper… or something like that,” says Dave Grohl about the upcoming release. Pre-orders for the album have already started at the band's website.

Speaking of Kurstin, who is also known for his group The Bird and the Bee, Grohl says he became fascinated by the song "Again and Again." “It blew my mind ... it was so much more sophisticated than anything I’d ever heard and I became obsessed,” says Grohl, who eventually crossed paths with Kurstin and struck up a friendship. Looking for a new challenge, Grohl reached out to Kurstin to help with the new disc. “So I think maybe Greg is the guy that we ask to be our producer because he’s never made a heavy rock record before and we’ve never worked with a pop producer,” says the singer. “[It was] our noise and Greg’s big brain and all of his sophisticated arrangements and composition.”

The band has already released the video for "Run" and played the songs "The Sky Is a Neighborhood" and "La Dee Da" in concert. And speaking of concerts, Foo Fighters have many booked this fall for fans in the U.S. After largely booking dates in other parts of the world for 2017 until now, the band will be playing a major fall run kicking off in October with what should be one of the major concert events of the year.

The band is heading up the lineup for the Cal Jam Fest, which is taking place at the Glen Helen Regional Park on Oct. 7 in San Bernardino, Calif. In addition to Foo Fighters, the bill includes Queens of the Stone Age, Cage the Elephant, Liam Gallagher, the Kills, Royal Blood, Japandroids, Wolf Alice, Bob Mould, the Struts, Bully, Circa Waves, Babes in Toyland, Adia Victoria, Fireball Ministry, the Obsessed, Pinky Pinky, Starcrawler, White Reaper, Big Tony & Trouble Funk and more. For information on that show, check out the Cal Jam Fest website.

As for the U.S. tour, the trek runs from early October all the way into December. Tickets for the run will go on sale to the public June 29 at 10AM local time via the Foo Fighters website. You can also check the website for pre-sale opportunities and see all of the dates listed below the new album track listing.
