Foo Fighters have hit the road for a 2011 North American headlining tour, landing in Cleveland, Ohio, last night (Sept. 20). The band is touring in support of its recently released seventh album ‘Wasting Light,’ which debuted at No. 1 in a dozen countries. The Foos performed top singles from the disc, including ‘Rope’ and ‘Walk,' along with several of their classic hits.

Whether it was their recent win for the Best Rock Video at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, their nomination for a 2011 Europe Music Award, or serenading picketers from the Westboro Baptist Church at a recent performance in Kansas City, Mo., the Foos have been making big headlines lately.

The Foo Fighters' North American tour continues through a Nov. 16 gig in Boston. Current openers Rise Against will end their run on the trek on Sept. 26, with Cage the Elephant and Social Distortion taking over the main support slot on the second and third legs of the fall trek, respectively.
