Slayer may have played their final note live, but Gary Holt will be back rocking onstage with his initial band in 2020. Exodus lead the lineup for the 2020 edition of the Full Terror Assault Open Air Festival.

“Exodus are proud to announce our addition to the 2020 Full Terror Assault festival!” says Holt. “It's gonna be a blast to be a part of the sixth year of this festival, and it is the first U.S. Exodus show we have booked going forward! Raging thrash metal out in the woods, super killer underground festival -the way I like it! This will be RAD!”

The Full Terror Assault Open Air Festival will take place Sept. 9-12 at Cave-in-Rock, Illinois. Other newly named acts for the 2020 edition include M.O.D., General Surgery, Ground and Shock Narcotic.

M.O.D.’s Billy Milano, who also played last year's festival, says, “Greetings from Billy Milano, legendary grandfather and pancake maker. I also kinda sing for M.O.D. Full Terror Assault was an amazing experience. I am deeply honored to be the host of the next fest. I'm planning on interviewing all the bands for the fest, as well as the fans. A spoken word/comedy performance is going to take place with a fan interaction. I am going to video document everything so we can show Europe we have a great underground fest here in America as well.”

For Swedish grindcore legends General Surgery, it will be their first Midwestern U.S. appearance. "We are extremely happy to finally play Full Terror Assault and to meet our fans in the mid-US,” says drummer Adde Mitroulis. “Let’s celebrate the death and gore together in Cave-in-Rock next year!”

"Being at FTA feels like I'm back in high school on summer break, hanging out with my buddies all night, laughing & drinking around the bonfire, death metal blaring in the background,” adds Shock Narcotic vocalist Shawn Knight, who first played FTA with his band Child Bite in 2016. “It was a blast! We came back the following year knowing it would be a highlight of our year. I'm excited to come back again in 2020, this time with Shock Narcotic."

More than 50 bands will play the music weekend, with more acts expected to be named at a later date. For a list of available passes and individual upgrades, visit http://bit.ly/ppass20. For upgrade packages, visit https://bit.ly/33Ag3cC.
