Angry Birds is all the rage these days, and now Green Day are getting in on the mayhem. The band is teaming up with Rovio Entertainment, the creator of Angry Birds, to prep a new musical episode for Angry Birds Friends. The installment will offer 10 never-before-seen themed levels, plus new “bad pig” characters that will take the likeness of band members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool.

The release will also feature Green Day’s new single 'Oh Love,' plus the new song 'Troublemaker.' Expect more exclusive content to be announced soon, and look for the episode to arrive later this fall.

“We're all fans of Angry Birds,” Armstrong said in an official statement. “It's such an addictive game that when we first started playing it we couldn't stop. Go Team Green!”

“We are beyond excited,” added Rovio CMO and Mighty Eagle Peter Vesterbacka. “Two amazing brands working together on a one-of-a-kind collaboration. We can’t wait for our fans to explore this new Green Day world.”

Green Day are prepping to release a trio of albums dubbed ‘Uno,’ ‘Dos,’ and ‘Tre’ over the next few months. The first one, 'Uno,' will arrive Sept. 25.
