Just last week, Islander revealed that they would be releasing their sophomore full-length album Power Under Control on Aug. 5 via Victory Records. Now the group is teaming up with Loudwire to exclusively bring you the premiere of their video for the single "Bad Guy."

The band also released the song 'Darkness' last week, and frontman Mikey Carvajal tells us, "'Bad Guy' is a song about speaking the truth, telling someone something that they need to hear even though it may not be what that person wants to hear. This song is the response to ‘Darkness.'"

As you can see above, the clip starts off with a teen listening to his arguing parental figures and is just look for an escape. That eventually comes in the form of an otherworldly figure who presents the youth with a magic skateboard. And the teen is later spotted taking his new skateboard and testing it out at a local skatepark. As for Islander, the band is rocking inside the teen's bedroom.

Islander have undergone a lineup overhaul since their previous effort, with Carvajal remaining while filling out the band with Love & Death guitarist J.R. Bareis, former Avenged Sevenfold drummer Arin Ilejay and ex-Forever At Last bassist Zeke Vasquez. “We can't describe just how refreshed we feel with our new lineup," says Carvajal. "Everyone was playing in different bands, we met on tour and as we had to make some changes in the band for the better, we found ourselves with this lineup. It's our sophomore release, but it really feels like the excitement of a debut release all over again.”

The band entered the studio in February of this year to start work on Power Under Control with producer Cameron Webb and came out with a disc that the singer says "is the link that will find its way into the darkest parts of our fans inner selves and bring light to them."

The album is available to pre-order in physical options via the Victory Records merch store and also digitally via iTunes and Amazon.
