Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler has announced a new partnership with Richmond restaurant owner Will "Mac" McCormack to open a new Big Whisky Grill near the West End of Richmond.

The original Whisky Grill is located in the Richmond Fan District, but the success of the business had led to the need for expansion. Adler and McCormack's new Big Whisky Grill will hold up to 600 people.

The drummer says, "Anyone that knows me knows I'm not good at sitting still. The down time has been a great way for us to reconnect with family and friends, and in doing so, I've found myself in a position to keep pushing. I've partnered up with my good buddy Mac to open one of the largest and extensive Whisky bars in the nation. We are building out now and the ideas in process are incredible."

Adler's new restaurant venture is expected to open in Richmond in October with a selection of over 2000 spirits, including a 700-bottle whisky selection, 150 craft beers and a 200-bottle wine selection. The drummer and his partner are also working with Henrico County health officials to offer a high-end Cigar room within the restaurants confines.

The drummer is also touting the restaurant's two-kitchen system, which will allow them to safely serve any patrons with food allergies or dietary restrictions. Adler reveals his wife has suffered from severe food allergies her entire life and so he has first hand knowledge of how difficult it is to dine out for those with such concerns. "I'm driven to create a safe environment for any dietary concern, choice or not," says Adler.

And yes, there is the possibility that you'll see Adler if you stop by the Big Whisky Grill. "I won't be in the back behind a purple rope holding court," says the drummer. "I'll be behind the bar serving up the gold. We are stoked and hope to create a friendly and classy place for our community and visitors from all around."
