It has just been confirmed that Lamb of God, Machine Head and Anthrax, along with members of Korn and Slipknot, will bring metal to the high seas on the maiden voyage of the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest Cruise.

According to Metal Insider, Mayhem Fest founder Kevin Lyman has confirmed that a nautical installment of the popular metal festival is set for this December. "We are just excited to get to put this together,” says Lyman. “It has been a fun process ... and really allows us to expand the Mayhem brand and good times.

Lamb of God, Machine Head, Anthrax and Suicide Silence will perform on the Mayhem Fest cruise, with more acts from the record labels Metal Blade, Sumerian, Roadrunner and Century Media to be added later. Korn singer Jonathan Davis will put on his J Devil alter ego to DJ with Slipknot's Sid Wilson (A.K.A. DJ Star Scream), while 'Knot drummer Shawn "Clown" Crahan will host a film festival in conjunction with horror magazine 'Fangoria.'

Since a pair of Slipknot members are already in tow, it's being speculated that the dry-land Mayhem Fest headliners may join the cruise lineup as well. Singer Corey Taylor and guitarist Jim Root are currently recording a new album with Stone Sour, which is targeted for a fall release date -- making a full Slipknot appearance less likely, but not impossible.
