Ozzy Osbourne Joined Onstage by Slash + Zakk Wylde in Oslo
There's plenty of Ozzy Osbourne and his friends to go around. Yet another batch of clips from the group's performances in Europe has surfaced online, this time from the May 31 show at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway. Slash and Zakk Wylde were the featured guests – what a helluva guitarist line up that is! Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler was also on hand.
As you are well aware, especially if you are following our coverage of the Ozzy & Friends tour, Black Sabbath were forced to table their European tour plans when guitarist Tony Iommi was diagnosed with lymphoma, limiting his ability to be on the road. Ozzy decide to tour with his famous and talented friends so as not to disappoint fans.
Slash took up his axe for a trifecta of Sabbath tunes – 'Iron Man,' 'War Pigs' and 'N.I.B.,' which also featured Butler -- while the Wylde Man hit the stage for a duo of Sabbath songs in the form 'Fairies Wear Boots' and 'Into the Void.' Butler was involved and played on all Sabbath songs.
Wylde remained onstage for Ozzy tunes, like 'I Don't Want to Change the World,' 'Crazy Tain' and 'Mama, I'm Coming Home.'
Slash, Wylde and Butler all appeared on 'Paranoid.'
The set lists have been pretty much the same, but these all-star jams are worth watching every single time. Check out the Bergen, Norway footage here. Want more? Go here for the Sweden show. Still not enough? The Finnish footage is here.
