Anyone who has seen Parkway Drive onstage knows that they are a whole lot of fun live. During an interview with vocalist Winston McCall, we had a little fun by picking his brain during a game of ‘Would You Rather?’ The frontman explains why he doesn’t mind messing up onstage, why he values a huge fan base over a huge bank account and much more. Check out our latest installment of ‘Would You Rather?’ below with Winston McCall of Parkway Drive:

Would you rather be really late for a show or mess up onstage?

Mess up onstage because at least it’s funny. I don’t think we’ve ever been late for a show and we’ve only ever canceled like three [gigs], so out of 10 years, that’s pretty good. I’d rather someone laugh at me than leave them waiting. You can’t have fun if you’re not there in the first place.

Would you rather have a massive bank account or a massive fan base?

Massive fan base because bank accounts are just digits, I don’t care about that s—t. [Laughs] I’d rather have friends than a bunch of f---ing numbers on the screen.

Would you rather be in the studio or on tour?

Oh, I’ll say tour but that’s a really hard one because they’re both so fun and so awesome. You think it’s doing the same thing but it’s really completely different. Touring is what we love and I love to travel.

Would you rather have memorable recorded music or a memorable live show?

I’ll go with memorable music because at some point in time I’m going to be f---in’ old and I won’t be able to keep up with a memorable stage show.

Would you rather in a world where people break into song or people break into mosh pits?

Oh, I’m going to say song and that’s a weird thing to say from a heavy band but it’s going to be very hard to mosh a kid to sleep at night. [Laughs]

Would you rather play smaller club shows forever or bigger festivals forever?

I’ll go with clubs because even if we suck we can make it look kind of respectable. Whereas if there’s a big festival show with a million people and they walk away, you just look like crap. [Laughs]

Would you rather be an '80s rock band in present day or would you rather be Parkway Drive in the '80s? Why.

Parkway Drive in the '80s for sure. The '80s ruled, it was a pretty sweet time.
