It's always awesome when a metal legend attaches his or herself to an up-and-coming project. Case in point, Pantera / Down vocalist Philip Anselmo has been putting tons of energy into helping out Australian metal act King Parrot, even appearing the the group's new music video for "Like a Rat."

It's tough for Australian metal acts to achieve success outside of their homeland, but with the muscle of Philip Anselmo behind them, King Parrot have a great chance of expanding their fan base worldwide.

From King Parrot's upcoming 2015 full-length, Dead Set, the band unleashed a gritty music video for "Like a Rat" filmed entirely at Anselmo's NOLA compound. King Parrot recorded Dead Set at Anselmo's infamous Nodferatu's Lair, with the Pantera legend handling production duties for his Aussie protégées.

Anselmo's appearance in the "Like a Rat" video is hilarious, as videos starring Phil tend to be. After a long night of boozing, Anselmo wakes up after being cuddled by a member of King Parrot. Still in a half-slumber, an irritated Anselmo sends King Parrot off to the studio, where the metal band jams out as spliced footage is included of the goings-on from Philip Anselmo's compound.

Check out the mayhem of Philip Anselmo and King Parrot in the band's new video for "Like a Rat." Dead Set will see a May 19 release via Anselmo's Housecore Records label. In the meantime, be sure to catch King Parrot on their U.S. tour with Weedeater. For the full list of dates, click here.
