Red Fang Rankle Each Other’s Neves in ‘Cut It Short’ Video
Red Fang consistently put out some of the more clever and humorous videos in rock and that trend continues with their latest clip for "Cut It Short."
The band reunited with director Whitey McConnaughy for the video, which finds the guys watching with confusion and bemusement as a pair of podcasters named Doug down a table's worth of beers before asking a single significant question ... do they ever get on each other's nerves? While the guys give the standard answer stating that they have a great relationship, as the clip progresses, we see a band that is a little too comfortable with each other on tour, leading to some of the grossest road hygiene you'll ever see.
Red Fang commented on the video, “Hey! We made a new video with our buddy Whitey, the director of such hits as 'Prehistoric Dog,' 'Wires,' 'Hank is Dead' and 'The Big Lebowski.' It's a real hoot of a riot! Come inside, where you will discover that after 12 years of being crammed in a van together, it is remarkable how little we get on each other's nerves, push each other's buttons, do anything annoying, bicker, or really ever fight at all! We especially don't throw guitars and cymbals at each other because that would be wrong."
It may be wrong, but it's oh so right when the guys reach their limit and devolve into mayhem with arm burns and titty twisters. Watch it all play out in the video above.
Hopefully, the guys can keep it together on the road this summer. After one final North American date this week, you can look for Red Fang spending the summer in Europe, followed by a pair of stateside festival shows in September. See their touring schedule below and get ticketing info here.
