What was formerly the Revolver Golden Gods is being relaunched as the Epiphone Revolver Music Awards. The event will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Webster Hall in New York City and will include performances from Megadeth, Lacuna Coil, Zakk Wylde and more.

A press conference was held last night (Nov. 1) at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, N.Y., where Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine was on hand to assist with the announcement. It was revealed that he will join SiriusXM's Jose Mangin as the co-host of the Revolver Music Awards, which will be doling out a total of 11 awards.

Fans will be able to vote here in all categories which includes Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Vocalist, Dimebag Darrell Best Guitarist, Paul Gray Best Bassist, Best Drummer, Best Live Band, Most Dedicated Fans, Best New Talent, Best Film & Video and Most Metal Athlete.

Additional performances will come from Stitched Up Heart, a Fallen Heroes All-Star Jam featuring Ace Frehley, plus Bumblefoot, Pop Evil, Butcher Babies and more. Revolver's award show has been going since 2009, having taken place in Los Angeles, Calif., every year with the exception of 2015 when the ceremony was on hiatus. The relocation is said to have a dual purpose as the magazine's headquarters is located in New York City.
