Sami Hinkka of Ensiferum Talks ‘Unsung Heroes,’ Finnish Bands, Touring + More

Finnish metal band Ensiferum rocked at this year’s New England Metal & Hardcore Festival in Worcester, Mass., and are set to play numerous dates and festivals in Europe in the summer and fall.

We caught up with Ensiferum bassist Sammi Hinkka in Massachusetts as he spoke about the band’s latest record ‘Unsung Heroes,’ as well as their plans to work on brand new material. He also talked about the appeal of bands from Finland worldwide, as well as being a total bookworm. The bassist also expressed his favorite Finnish curse word by yelling it out freely in an empty parking lot.
