Sebastian Bach has spent the last few months writing and coming up with ideas for his next album, but the time has come to put away the pen, pick up the instruments and start laying down some music.

The vocalist has checked in via his social networking accounts to alert fans that production on his next studio album is now underway. The disc comes on the heels of his recent concert album and DVD, 'ABachalypse Now,' which chronicled his 'Kicking and Screaming' album tour cycle.

Bach's studio update reads as follows:

Work on the NEW Studio Album has officially begun!! Totally great day in the studio with Producer Bob Marlette & Guitar Player Jeff George! We began the day writing & coming up parts & ended up recording some blazing kick ass grooves that are gonna destroy the rest of the tunes in your iPhone playlist upon loading! Sorry 'bout that! Not! #BachInTheStudio

In addition to Marlette and guitarist Jeff George, who are seen in the photo above, Bach has also been writing with Billy Idol guitar great and Camp Freddy collaborator Steve Stevens.

An official release date or specific album details have not been revealed for Bach's upcoming effort, but with production starting now, it's likely that there might be new music surfacing before year's end.
