If you had "February 2012" in the office pool for when the increasingly, unstoppably ubiquitous Betty White would finally get around to filming a commercial with Slash, good news: you win.

It actually makes more sense than you might think. The clip was commissioned by the Los Angeles Zoo to celebrate its new attraction, an exhibit called the LAIR. Scheduled to open March 8, it boasts what the Zoo is referring to as "60 species of weird, rare and endangered amphibians, invertebrates and reptiles" -- and who better to help promote it than famous snake enthusiast Slash?

Betty White is in just about everything lately, but her appearance here is about more than just her late-period comeback; it also ties in with her long-running efforts to raise funds and awareness for the Los Angeles Zoo. (In fact, just a few days ago, the Zoo celebrated White's birthday by naming a baby orangutan after her character on 'Hot in Cleveland.')

According to Slash's Facebook page, this clip is just one of several that he taped with White for the Zoo. Last year, the rocker and the actress met at the zoo when Slash was honored for his contributions to the wildlife center. White serves on the board of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association. Check out an awesome photo of Slash and White from that encounter.

Watch the commercial below, and let us know in the comments if you'll be visiting the LAIR -- or what you want to see Slash and Betty get up to in future commercials:
