More tough news from the rock world, as SOiL frontman Ryan McCombs has checked in online to reveal that he's suffered a stroke. The musician was hospitalized on Monday after having the stroke while he was sleeping Sunday night.

The good news for McCombs is that the rocker caught what was going on early enough to get to the doctor and get treated and he appeared to be in good spirits while writing a message to fans about his medical condition. The rocker credited his girlfriend with convincing him to go to the doctor. Check out his post below:

After his initial posting, McCombs let fans know that he passed some medical tests and is now being allowed food and water. Check out his posting below.

In addition to SOiL, where he began and is now continuing his career, McCombs also fronted Drowning Pool for a period in between his two stints in SOiL. Loudwire sends our best to McCombs and his family as he begins the process of overcoming the stroke.
