Four years have passed since metalcore vets Unearth delivered Watchers of the Rule, and as they take part in Warped Tour's farewell run, they've got a new album to support. Hear "Incinerate," the first single off Extinction(s), above.

In four minutes, the Massachusetts quintet hit on a range of sounds from squawking distorted chords to cinematic guitar sweeps and gnashing rhythms to bouncing melodies, all with a scathing lyrical bent. "Incinerate" hits on all of Unearth's dynamics and should go down well live alongside the favorites.

“'Incinerate' brings the raw aggression and heaviness of our early material while also showcasing elements of where we've gone as a band since," offers singer Trevor Phipps. "Lyrically it is meant to be a song of unity in a time of great polarization around the world," he continues. "We are constantly being told to not like our neighbor because they might have different views. The theme is a faith in humanity to come together and combat and rid the world of those that are intentionally dividing us.”

Extinction(s) was recorded at Graphic Nature Studios with Will Putney (bass and vocals were tracked at the Brick Hit Studios) and features Killswitch Engage's Adam Dutkiewicz on drums. The new record will be released in the fall later this year through Century Media and you can catch Unearth on the road this summer with a list of Warped Tour dates found at this location.
