Symphonic metal outfit Within Temptation have just issued their new, four-song 'Paradise (What About Us?') EP, which features a title track collaboration with former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen. The video for the track, which recently debuted, can be seen above.

The song is based on a speech given by retired four-star general Peter van Uhm of the Royal Netherlands Army back in May of this year. Frontwoman Sharon den Adel says, "His speech made a deep impression on us. His message being that the creation of a better world is only possible when you don't think about 'yourself' or 'them,' but just think about 'us.'

Other songs on the new EP include demo versions of 'Let Us Burn,' 'Silver Moonlight' and 'Dog Days,' each of which will turn up in completed form on the band's still-untitled next album. The group is currently working on the disc, which is expected to surface in early 2014 and this EP serves as the perfect taste test for the upcoming album.

Within Temptation are also in the process of filling out their post-album plans. The first leg of the band's world tour will kick off Feb. 26 in Helsinki, Finland. For dates, check here. The 'Paradise (What About Us?)' EP is currently available via iTunes and Amazon.
