As we compile our year end lists and get ready to say farewell to 2015, it comes time to reflect on the biggest stories that dominated the year. Another year full of triumph and tragedy, we saw some headlines that brought many to tears both in joy and sadness. It can be hard to summarize the entire year with just 10 stories, but this collection truly sums up and defines rock and metal in 2015.

Again, we lost some of our most beloved musicians, while some of our heroes said goodbye to us on a farewell tour. One metal icon battled and won a bought with cancer, while two musicians seemingly ended their long-standing feud. And tragically, two horrific and unimaginable incidents causing multiple deaths occurred at rock shows in Europe this year.
