Tool guitarist Adam Jones has a unique way of playing his six strings in that he doesn’t predominantly use one technique or even just a couple. His playing style is all over the place and is truly a culmination of all of his influences. Rather than combining techniques, he applies some here and some there to create the incredibly complex songs that Tool's rabid fans have come to love.

Phil Demmel has had a hand in writing music for two very different bands. Before Machine Head, Demmel was in the cult thrash band Vio-lence and recorded three albums with the dynamic group. He and fellow bandmate Robb Flynn would go on to form Machine Head, who have been pummeling eardrums for over two decades now. Most metal bands did not transition well into the ‘90s, but Demmel was pro-active in forming Machine Head and pioneering the sound that is still going strong today.
