Pennsylvania punkers Anti-Flag have just announced the release of a new studio album, 'American Spring.' The new disc will be the band's first on Spinefarm Records and will hit shelves sometime in May.

The 'American Spring' album title is likely derived from the Arab Spring -- a term to describe the revolutionary wave of recent protests throughout the Middle East. The uprising forced rulers from Egypt, Tunisia, Libia and Yemen out of power, while many other countries were swarmed with legions of protestors.

'American Spring' will feature appearances by Rancid's Tim Armstrong on the track 'Brandenburg Gate' and Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello on 'Without End.'

"We are excited to announce that our tenth full-length record will be released on Spinefarm Records this spring," the band states. "There is no shortage of fodder for a new record of commentary on the social and political climate in 2015: Endless wars, the new Jim Crow and American injustice, corprotocracy, environmental coup d'état, the surveillance state, loss, grief and anxiety. We hope that these songs can grant us solace in a seemingly hopeless era."

Anti-Flag continue, "It has been frustrating to see much punk rock music -- and music in general -- quiet in the face of so many atrocities that are taking place around the world. This record is not quiet. If you are disillusioned with the status quo, these songs are for you. The 'American Spring' is now."

Anti-Flag will also embark on a number of tour dates throughout the world, beginning with a Jan. 19 performance in Charlotte, N.C., where the 'Terror State' album will be played in its entirely. The show will be streamed online live via Yahoo. Anti-Flag will continue to perform 'The Terror State' in full at each North American show until Feb. 18.
