Architects and Letlive Bring Pure Mayhem to New York City With Glass Cloud + I The Mighty
New York music fans got an incredible night of live music as Architects came to town with Letlive and played the very intimate Marlin Room at Webster Hall. The show was chock-full of immense energy and pandemonium.
The British lads of Architects headlined the night with a vigorous performance. They kicked off their set with new tracks ‘Gravedigger’ and ‘C.A.N.C.E.R’ from their latest album ‘Lost Together // Lost Forever.’ Fans also lost their minds to the fresh track ‘Naysayer.’ During the set, Architects frontman Sam Carter acknowledged and paid tribute to the young music fan Alberto Scott who lost his life days before at the Miss May I show at the Studio at Webster Hall.
Special moments of the night also included Letlive’s Jason Butler making a vocal appearance during the Architects performance of the song ‘Follow the Water.’ Stray From the Path’s Drew York also supplied guest vocals on ‘Early Grave.’ Architects ended the night with an epic performance of ‘These Colors Don’t Run.’
Letlive took the stage before Architects and thrilled the crowd with their utter rawness and intensity. They might claim to be from Los Angeles but every time they come to New York City it feels like a hometown show. Vocalist Jason Butler is one of the best performers you can see live.
Whether the band performed ‘The Sick Sick 6.8 Billion’ or the favorite ‘Muther’ off of their early disc ‘Fake History’ or newer tracks ‘Banshee (Ghost Fame)’ and ‘Dreamer’s Disease’ off of their latest ‘The Blackest Beautiful,’ every song is an anthem that fans sang with passion. Crowdsurfers were abundant, wild and they even obliterated a microphone. Letlive is not only a band or discs of music, it’s a movement and when they perform live it’s about the fans as much as it’s about the band.
Supporting acts Glass Cloud and I The Mighty ripped through the stage at the Marlin Room with forceful performances of their own that kicked off the night in a great way.
