ASG haven't been been incredibly prolific over the last decade, but when these North Carolina stoner rockers do resurface, it's something to behold. It's been five years since the band dropped Blood Drive and now they've announced its successor, Survive Sunrise. Loudwire has teamed up with them to bring you the title track.

The song opens up with a delicate melody and a slightly ominous mood and the dread continues when the distortion kicks in with a swinging rhythm. There's a sing-song element in play as the chorus relieves some of the tension built elsewhere in "Survive Sunrise." There's some comparisons to be drawn between Mastodon and Baroness, but ASG, now six albums into their career, have carved out their own sound.

"'Survive Sunrise' seemed like an appropriate opening track for our new album, to me the song kind of feels like an introduction; an intro but with the length and structure of a complete song. Hopefully, it gives the listener some insight as to what they might encounter further down the record," comments guitarist/vocalist Jason Shi.

Survive Sunrise, produced by Matt Hyde, is due June 15 on Relapse and fans can place their pre-order here. Check out the artwork, track listing and ASG's upcoming tour dates below and crank the album's title track in the video above.
