Avenged Sevenfold's Synyster Gates recently taught a Master Class in shredding for Guitar Center. However, Gates didn't only cover the rock and metal styles. The guitarist also went back to vintage country, which Gates' father plays, and gypsy jazz music to display a style of playing you may have never seen from Synyster Gates.

Whether or not you're fan of Avenged Sevenfold fan, if you appreciate stunning guitar work, we highly recommend these two newly posted clips. As a part of Guitar Center's Master Class artist program, Gates hand-picked 10 entrants to attend a private session taught by the A7X shredder.

In the first clip (seen above), Gates talks about old country music while putting on an awesome showcase of gypsy guitar stylings. "I didn't fall in love with the actual [country] techniques and playing. That, and it kind of discouraged me a little bit, and then I found gypsy jazz. I re-found it, because I used to love listening to it, but it just seemed like a very unattainable art form." Despite Gates' initial hesitation, the musician beautifully showcases his gypsy jazz prowess during the master class.

The second Guitar Center video gets into the heavy stuff. In an instrumental jam, Gates blazes through blistering solos, atmospheric leads and some truly stunning eight-finger tapping, which is arguably the most difficult rock guitar technique on the planet.
