It was a huge year for Avenged Sevenfold and that's reflected by the voting in the 3rd Annual Loudwire Music Awards, where there group earned three honors. The band walked away with Best Rock Song of 2013 for 'Hail to the King,' while Synyster Gates won Best Guitarist of 2013 and the group as a whole won the Best Rock Band of 2013 trophy.

In the Best Rock Song of 2013 category, 'Hail to the King' cruised to victory with 33.29 percent of the final vote. They bested Alter Bridge's 'Addicted to Pain' and Five Finger Death Punch's collaboration with Rob Halford on 'Lift Me Up,' which placed second and third respectively.

As for Gates, he earned a hard fought victory for Best Guitarist of 2013 with 38.4 percent of the vote. Alter Bridge's Mark Tremonti gave him a challenge while Slipknot / Stone Sour guitarist Jim Root placed third in the voting.

Meanwhile, Avenged Sevenfold also easily won for 2013's Rock Band of the Year snagging 34.73 percent of the vote. Things were tighter in the battle for second, where Five Finger Death Punch and Alter Bridge earned 17.08 percent and 15.72 percent of the final vote.
