After conquering the world in 2014, the Japanese teen trio BabyMetal have signed a U.S. record deal. Their self-titled debut album will be reissued in the United States via RAL/Sony Music. It will include two bonus tracks and be available digitally May 12 and physically on June 16.

BabyMetal will also see a European release from earMusic. The album will be released in Germany, Sweden, Finland and Spain on May 29; in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Holland, Poland, Switzerland, Norway and Denmark on June 1; and in Italy on June 2.

Bill Richards, VP of Marketing for RAL/Sony Music says, "After witnessing the band’s sold-out New York show, we knew we wanted to be involved. The core metal fans and metal press seem to get BabyMetal, which shows how the language of music transcends boundaries. They hit all the entertainment buttons and are really fun to watch.”

The band has garnered some famous fans. Slash recently talked about them in an interview, saying, "I know these guys. Anyway [they’re] the most exciting thing that I’d seen recently, what I heard. ‘Cause they have a look, and they’re girls.”

BabyMetal, whose music is a mix of J-Pop and metal, have already played major festivals and a high profile supporting slot on a Lady Gaga tour. The video for their single "Gimme Chocolate!!" has amassed a staggering 24.5 million views on YouTube. In addition, Loudwire readers voted the group as the Best New Artist of 2014 in our annual awards.

North American fans will have a few chances to see the band on their upcoming world tour. May 12 they're in Toronto, May 13 in Chicago and May 16 at the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio. For all their dates, go here.
