Green Day were forced to cancel a gig in Bologna, Italy on Sunday, Sept. 2 after frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was hospitalized. Now, word comes that Armstrong has been released from the Hospital Maggiore. No official word on what caused the hospitalization, but local reports suggested Armstrong was suffering from gastric issues.

Italian publication La Voce also reported problems were caused by fans trying to visit Armstrong at the hospital. Armstrong has plenty of time to recover before Green Day’s next show, the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Sept. 21.

As the Sept. 25 release date for their new album ‘¡Uno!' approaches, Green Day have released the video for the single 'Kill the DJ.' It's the second single from '¡Uno!' following 'Oh Love,' which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Rock Chart in July.

The 'Kill the DJ' video begins with black-and-white imagery of the band riding dirt bikes in the desert before performance footage of Green Day playing at a strange dance party.  It's a catchy song and an interesting video.

In other band news, Gibson is releasing a new Billie Joe Armstrong signature guitar: the Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior Double Cut.  The axe has a solid Mahogany body, vintage-style wraparound bridge and a hot-stamped silver Billie Joe Armstrong 'Adeline skull' logo on the pickguard.
