- In a new chat with Billboard, Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows revealed the band is still dealing with their lawsuit with Warner Bros. over the band's exit. "We're still dealing with the label situation, the lawsuit [with Warner Bros.], so we've still got a couple of things we have to clean up before we move on to the next record," said the singer.

- Mushroomhead have suffered their second defection in a week. On the heels of co-vocalist Jeffrey Nothing leaving the band, so has the group's guitarist Tommy Church. His exit statement can be read here. Church recently started a new project titled Skin.

- The Dead Daisies have issued the lead single "Rise Up" from their upcoming Burn It Down album. “'Rise Up' is a blistering old school Sabbath riff with angry lyrics about the state of the world!!! It‘s about the people in power that say they have our best interests at heart but don't!!!! We need to 'Rise Up' and let our voices be heard and tell them we want CHANGE and deserve BETTER!!!!!," says vocalist John Corabi. Take a listen to the track here.

- Lordi have announced that Sexorcism will be the title of their next album. The disc is due May 25 and in a new message they state that it is "quite possibly the most controversial Lordi album yet."

- DevilDriver and Dead Girls Academy have joined the lineup for the inaugural INKCARCERATION festival in Mansfield, Ohio the weekend of July 13-15. DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara says, "DevilDriver are proud to be part of INKCARCERATION! Tattoos and music combined together, plus all these killer bands along for the ride make this a not-to-be-missed festival. Come support DevilDriver and let's get down!" Michael Vampire of Dead Girls Academy says, "I'm excited to announce my band Dead Girls Academy have been added to the INKCARCERATION Festival in Ohio! - The annual SXSW festival lineup is set, with the music scene turning its attention to Austin, Texas the week of March 12-18. - City of the Weak have unleashed a new video for their cover of Incubus' "Pardon Me." "We feel like this song is so much more relevant today than ever before. With all the political unrest and chaos around the world, sometimes the only thing that can truly bring people together is the love of art and music. - Boston's hardcore heroes American Nightmare have issued a video for their driving new song "Gloom Forever." Watch the performance-based clip here. The song can be found on the band's self-titled album.
