Blink-182 saves the day ... again! Earlier this year, the band played a surprise set at the KROQ Weenie Roast when Anthony Kiedis of headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers became ill. On Monday night (July 11), the band once again offered a helping hand, this time to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, when they stepped in to play when the Hollywood Vampires had to bow out after Joe Perry's recent collapse at a show.

As can be seen in the player above, the band delivers an energetic performance of the current hit single "Bored to Death." And for keen-eyed viewers, you can spot images of the band's comic book-styled artwork popping up from the side views of the stage mirroring the imagery used in promotion of the California album. Moreover, the band stuck around for an Internet exclusive performance of "What's My Age Again?" You can watch that performance in the player below.

It's been a big week for Blink-182 as their California album arrived at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart, supplanting rapper Drake, who had been on top for nine weeks. The band's album sold 186,000 equivalent units to take the top spot, with 172,000 of their final total coming from traditional album sales.

Blink-182 are hitting the road for one of this summer's top tours, bringing along All-American Rejects, A Day to Remember and All Time Low. Dates can be found here.
